UAV's in Real Estate Development

Investors make informed decisions as the project unfolds

Aerial Surveys Helps Contractors and Developers

When land developers need to examine a piece of property, Aerial Geomatics can facilitate the process by using UAV's to Map the lay of the land. The Map helps investors evaluate real estate by giving them a bird’s eye view of surrounding structures and the overall infrastructure of the area.

Another benefit is to determine real estate potential is that it helps contractors negotiate budgets, set project timelines and durations, establish key milestones, and schedule equipment rentals to help maximize efficiency. Lastly, construction progress photography helps project managers, builders, and investors make informed decisions as the project unfolds.

5 Ways UAV are affecting the construction industry

Surveying Land

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are rapidly replacing traditional land-surveillance methods.

Communication and Management

UAV technology has evolved to the point where instant connectivity and communication on the job site are at a surplus datas.

Improved Overall Security

The advent of UAVs is causing a sharp increase in security efficiency.

Accurate Surveillance

Drones have the ability to be practically everywhere at the same time.

Transportation and Inspection

The use of UAVs in job site inspection also means a drastic increase in worksite safety by eliminating numerous dangers and safety hazards.

  • Topographical surveys

  • Local inspection of site

  • Map/Plan Overlay

  • Digital surface model with accurate elevation details

  • Compatible 3D Model with a point cloud and mesh data of the entire area with high accuracy

  • Digital terrain model with contours at cm level interval

  • Maintenance and monitoring of the network

  • Monitoring during the construction phase

UAVs in Water Ways and Natural Landscape

As a result of the rapid growth of the world's population and the consequences of climate change, water resources need to be used correctly and sustainably. Achieving drainage network, one of the most important aspects of watershed management, is crucial to avoid floods that are among the most important natural disasters. DEM (Digital Elevation Model) data can be used to obtain drainage networks with high accuracy. DEM can be produced fast, reliable and accurate thanks to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).Using the camera integrated UAV, images related to the landscape were captured and 3D spatial coordinates were obtained using the Structure from Motion (SfM) method. Generated point cloud is converted to DEM data format.
